| What is the OneDayOfSilence-Project? |
The actual fast moving time requires much power from us and sometimes gives us a feeling of timelessness and waste of time.
The OneDayOfSilence-Project is based on the idea to run deceleration for one day, to pause, to abdicate modern technics and to use the resultant quiet, to look after social contacts, to discover the beauty of nature and to follow own wishes and mind.
What is important for myself? What's good for myself? And what can i do today to find my inner quiet?
These are only exemplary questions, that participants of the project on 22/08/2012 could give a reason to search for purification and to act in this spirit.

| What is the OneDayOfSilence-Project not? |
The meaning of the project is not to doubt and to abdicate all modern technical equipment and developments originated by humanity, but to do without it for only one day and to have time.
The OneDayOfSilence-Project is not an association you can join.
The OneDayOfSilence-Project is not a for-profit organisation and does not belong to some sect and to some religion of this world. The project ares to address people from all over the world, never mind what religious, politic and cultural origin it has. |

| What is the intention of the OneDayOfSilence-Project? |
One intention of the OneDayOfSilence-Project is to reach as many people of the world as possible and to collect the data of the Participants to observe the success or disappointment of the project by statistics.
The more important intention is in anybody of us: everybody, who makes on 22/08/2012 the experience, that he can be closer to himself without haste and with more quiet and that he can acquire power from this quiet, can spray positive energies, can think and act creative, obtaines the real intention. To make this experience reachable for everybody, exists the OneDayOfSilence-Project. |

| Why wednesday the 22 August 2012? |
The quest for an adequate date was not so easy.
It was one intention to find a date, that's so far apart in the future, that there are as little other important dates as possible. Some international major events like for example the olympic games became respected.
Another intention was to arrange a date, that is not on the same day like an official holiday, commemoration day, birthday or day of death of any important personalities somewhere in the world (what worked hopefully successful).
And the third intention was to put this date onto a workingday: probably here could more people take part in the project as on a weekend. |

The development and support of the website www.onedayofsilence.com needs a lot of time.
For this purpose and for the cost thereby incurred for webspace rental is advertisement placed on this site. The originated cost shall be tiled by this advertisement. |
